Ruhr-in-Love 2027 – Electronic Music Festival Germany
What to expect in 2027
Ruhr-in-Love 2027 takes place on Saturday, 3 July 2027 at OlgaPark in Oberhausen, Germany. The festival runs from 12:00 to 22:00 and returns with its established concept of bringing a large cross-section of electronic music together in one green open-air setting. The official festival describes the event as an electronic music family gathering featuring 25 individually designed floors and around 250 DJs.
The festival is built around variety rather than a single electronic genre. Visitors can expect styles ranging from techno and house to hardcore, Goa, trance, electro, tech-house and other forms of electronic music. The combination of club, label and collective-hosted floors means that different parts of the park can have completely different musical identities.
Ruhr-in-Love also places considerable emphasis on its community atmosphere. The festival describes itself as an event where established artists and newcomers share the same overall environment, with many floors operated by clubs, labels, crews, promoters and collectives from the electronic music scene.

The 2027 edition is already promoted around 25 floors and 250 DJs, although the individual floors and complete artist lineup have not yet been released. The official website specifically asks visitors to subscribe to its newsletter to be notified when the lineup and floors are published.
The OlgaPark setting is another important part of the experience. The park contains lawns, waterways, tree-lined areas and paths created on the grounds of the former Osterfeld coal and coking plant. This industrial heritage combined with green parkland gives Ruhr-in-Love a distinctive environment for an electronic music festival.
Visitors can also expect a range of practical facilities, including food stalls, bars, lockers, cashless payment, medical services, awareness support, accessible toilets and dedicated assistance for visitors with mobility requirements.

Venue & festival site
Ruhr-in-Love 2027 will be held at OlgaPark in Oberhausen. The park is located on the former grounds of the Osterfeld coal mine and coking plant and was transformed into a public green space following the 1999 Oberhausen State Garden Show. Today, the site combines open lawns, waterways, tree-lined paths and historical industrial surroundings.
The festival uses the park as a large network of dancefloors rather than concentrating the event around only one main stage. The official 2027 location information describes 25 lovingly designed floors operated by clubs, labels and electronic-music crews.
The park layout also means that visitors can move between different musical areas throughout the day. Some floors focus on specific electronic styles, while others are associated with individual promoters, collectives or labels.
The festival site is designed to be explored on foot. The official location information emphasizes relatively short paths between the different areas, allowing visitors to move from floor to floor without the enormous distances found at some larger multi-day festivals.
Full lineup
The complete Ruhr-in-Love 2027 lineup has not yet been released.
The official lineup page currently states that no 2027 lineup is available and encourages visitors to subscribe to the festival newsletter for the announcement.
The festival has confirmed the overall scale of the program, with 25 floors and approximately 250 DJs planned. This means the eventual lineup is expected to cover a very broad range of electronic music rather than focusing on a single genre.
The 2027 lineup should therefore be treated as TBA until the organizers officially publish the artist list.
Historical programming gives an indication of the breadth visitors can expect. The 2026 edition featured artists across techno, house, trance, hardcore, hard dance, Goa, electro and other electronic styles, with performers including Neelix, Gestört aber GeiL, AVAION, Le Shuuk, Klaudia Gawlas, Felix Kröcher and Kobosil.
These 2026 artists are not confirmed for 2027 unless they appear in the official 2027 announcement.
Headliners & featured artists
No complete list of 2027 headliners has been announced yet.
Ruhr-in-Love’s programming structure is broader than a conventional festival centered around a small group of headline acts. The event combines large-name performers with club residents, emerging DJs and artists selected by the many participating floors. The official festival describes the event as a place where newcomers can receive major festival opportunities alongside established artists.
The 2026 edition illustrates this approach. Center Stage performers included Neelix, Gestört aber GeiL, AVAION, Le Shuuk, Rewi, BOVSKI and other artists, while the Klaudia Gawlas & Friends floor featured Klaudia Gawlas b2b Felix Kröcher, Kobosil, A.N.I., Gregor Tresher and other performers.
For 2027, visitors should wait for the official artist announcement before planning their schedule around particular headliners.
Stages & performance areas
Ruhr-in-Love 2027 is planned around 25 floors. The individual 2027 floor list has not yet been published, but the official website has already confirmed the overall 25-floor format.
The festival’s floors are hosted by different clubs, labels, crews and electronic-music communities. This creates a decentralized stage structure in which each area can have its own musical identity, decoration and artist selection.
Historical floor concepts have included a wide range of styles, from hardcore and hard dance to techno, trance, house and alternative electronic programming. The 2026 edition included floors and concepts such as Chuffer-Events’ MusicGarden, DEQUINOX Hardcore meets TRAXTORM Records, LOCA71, Playerz Club & Clublife and V.I.B.E.Z. Production.
The 2027 floor names and hosts should be added once officially announced. Visitors can expect the same general concept of moving between multiple specialized electronic environments throughout the day.
Stage-by-stage schedule
The 2027 stage-by-stage schedule has not yet been published.
The official website currently confirms that the floors are still to be announced. Once the floor list is released, the festival is expected to provide individual floor information and artist schedules through its website and festival communication channels.
With 25 floors, the program will contain simultaneous performances throughout the 12:00–22:00 festival period. Visitors will therefore need to choose between overlapping sets rather than following one continuous main-stage schedule.
A useful strategy will be to identify preferred artists after the lineup announcement and then organize the day by geographical location as well as performance time. Since the floors are spread throughout OlgaPark, allowing a few minutes between performances will make it easier to move around the site.
Set times
The official 2027 set times have not been announced.
The festival itself runs from 12:00 to 22:00, giving visitors ten hours of music and activities.
The final set times should be released together with the floor and artist program. Because 25 floors operate within the same festival, many DJs will perform simultaneously.
Visitors should not plan every minute of the day. Ruhr-in-Love is designed around discovering different floors, meeting other festivalgoers and moving between different musical styles, so leaving some flexibility in the schedule can be useful.

VIP & premium options
Ruhr-in-Love does not currently advertise a conventional VIP ticket with a separate luxury festival compound. Instead, its main premium option is the Comfort Ticket.
Comfort Ticket: The Comfort Ticket provides several practical benefits designed to make the festival experience more convenient. These include Fast-Lane Entry, a free locker, access to the Comfort Lounge with a bar and access to separate areas at Center Stage.
The Comfort Lounge gives visitors a dedicated area away from the standard festival crowd, while Fast-Lane Entry can reduce waiting time at the entrance.
Visitors who already purchase a Regular Ticket can upgrade to a Comfort Ticket through their customer account if the upgrade option remains available. The festival states that only the difference between the ticket categories needs to be paid for an upgrade.
Event rules
Ruhr-in-Love has a detailed set of security and entry regulations.
Minimum age: Admission starts at 16 years. Visitors under 16 are not permitted to enter.
Identification: Visitors should carry valid identification because age checks can take place at the entrance. NextGen ticket holders are specifically checked before receiving the appropriate admission credential.

Prohibited items: Weapons, illegal drugs, knockout substances, pepper spray, fireworks, pyrotechnics, laser pointers, drones, large containers, food and drinks are among the prohibited items.
Food and drinks: Visitors generally cannot bring their own food or drinks into the festival. Medical exceptions can apply when supported by appropriate documentation.
Re-entry: Re-entry is available through a separate function that can be added to the cashless wristband. The current published re-entry charge is the equivalent of approximately $5.85, based on the listed historical €5 fee.
Driving: The organizers specifically warn visitors not to drive after consuming alcohol or drugs and state that vehicles may be subject to checks during arrival and departure.
How to get there
Ruhr-in-Love takes place at OlgaPark in Oberhausen, in the Ruhr region of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The official travel information recommends travelling by public transport where possible. Visitors arriving by train should travel to Oberhausen Hauptbahnhof, from where continuous shuttle buses operate to the OlgaPark during the festival.
For visitors travelling by car, the recommended route is via the A42. Drivers should take exit 10, Oberhausen Zentrum, and then follow the Ruhr-in-Love signs toward the official parking area.
The organizers recommend entering “Arenastraße, Oberhausen” into navigation systems and following the festival signage once approaching the city.
Visitors should not use Bottroper Straße or Vestische Straße as informal drop-off points. The festival specifically prohibits dropping passengers off in those locations.
Public transport & parking
Public transport is particularly convenient because the festival ticket includes free eligible return travel within the VRR area.
The ticket permits travel on buses, trams and second-class DB regional services, including RE, RB and S-Bahn services, within the applicable VRR area. The 2027 travel validity runs from 3 July until 4 July 2027 at 12:00.
Train: Visitors can travel to Oberhausen Hauptbahnhof and then use the festival shuttle buses to OlgaPark.
Regional connections: The official travel page lists RE49 services from the Dortmund/Essen direction and RE5 connections from Cologne, Düsseldorf and Duisburg toward Oberhausen.
Shuttle buses: Festival shuttle buses operate between Oberhausen Hauptbahnhof and OlgaPark. After the festival, they take visitors back to the station for onward travel or connections to afterparties.
Car parking: Official festival parking is located at Westfield Centro. Visitors should follow the festival signage from the A42 and use the designated parking areas rather than attempting to park immediately beside the festival entrance.
Accommodation areas
Ruhr-in-Love is a one-day festival and does not operate as a conventional camping event. Visitors who need accommodation can stay in Oberhausen or surrounding Ruhr cities.
Oberhausen: Staying in Oberhausen provides the most direct access to OlgaPark and Oberhausen Hauptbahnhof. It is particularly convenient for visitors planning to use the festival shuttle.
Essen: Essen is a practical nearby base with extensive rail connections and a large selection of hotels.
Duisburg: Duisburg offers another convenient option for visitors arriving from the western Ruhr region or the Düsseldorf area.
Düsseldorf: Visitors coming from outside the Ruhr region can also stay in Düsseldorf and travel to Oberhausen by regional train.
Gelsenkirchen: Gelsenkirchen is another nearby Ruhr city with accommodation and rail connections.
Since the festival is held during the summer, visitors travelling from outside the region should reserve accommodation early, especially if they plan to stay overnight after the festival.
Food & drink
Ruhr-in-Love provides numerous food stands and bars throughout the festival grounds. The official FAQ specifically confirms that vegan food options are available. Visitors can therefore expect a range of festival meals and refreshments without needing to leave the site.
Bringing personal food and drinks onto the festival grounds is generally prohibited, apart from documented medical requirements.
The festival uses a cashless wristband system. Visitors receive a cashless wristband at the entrance, which can be connected to prepaid credit before arriving or topped up during the festival.
Credit can be added online, through the festival event portal, via QR code or at designated TopUp stations. The official FAQ states that online and electronic top-up methods are fee-free, while cash top-up stations charge the equivalent of approximately $1.17 per transaction based on the published €1 fee.
A deposit is charged for drinks. The currently published system uses approximately $2.34 per drink container based on the listed €2 deposit, which is credited back when the container is returned.
Accessibility
Ruhr-in-Love provides several accessibility arrangements for visitors with disabilities.
The festival has a wider entrance access point for visitors who need it, and there is an asphalt parking area near the festival grounds specifically for visitors with reduced mobility. The festival asks visitors requiring this parking facility to contact the organizer with the relevant disability documentation.
The festival grounds contain some paved paths, but many floors are positioned on grass and meadow surfaces. Visitors using wheelchairs should therefore expect a combination of paved and natural terrain.
Accessible toilets are available throughout the festival.
Visitors who require essential medication can bring it with them. Prescription medication should be accompanied by the relevant medical documentation. Visitors who need medication kept refrigerated are advised to contact the organizer before the event.
Electronic wheelchairs can be charged at the festival information point, although visitors need to bring their own charging cable.
The festival also has trained medical personnel and a Trouble-Shoot team available to assist visitors who feel unwell or need support.
Best days to attend
Because Ruhr-in-Love 2027 is a one-day festival, there are no separate days to choose from. The entire event takes place on Saturday, 3 July 2027 from 12:00 to 22:00.
Early afternoon: Arriving near opening time is useful for visitors who want to explore a large number of the 25 floors. It also provides more time to discover smaller crews and emerging DJs.
Mid-afternoon: This is a useful period for exploring different floor concepts and moving between genres. Visitors can use the park environment to take breaks between performances.
Evening: The later hours provide the final stretch of the main festival program, with visitors able to choose between simultaneous performances before the site closes at 22:00.
Because there are approximately 250 DJs across 25 floors, attempting to see every major act is unrealistic. A better approach is to select a few priority artists while leaving time to discover unexpected performances on other floors.
Previous year’s highlights
Ruhr-in-Love 2026 took place on 4 July 2026 at OlgaPark in Oberhausen. The official festival history records approximately 30,000 visitors and 250 acts for the edition.
The 2026 Center Stage lineup included Neelix, Gestört aber GeiL, AVAION, Le Shuuk, Rewi, BOVSKI and Jasmin Blust, among others. The Center Stage provided the festival’s larger-format performances and more widely recognized names.
The Klaudia Gawlas & Friends floor brought together a different selection of electronic artists. The program included Klaudia Gawlas b2b Felix Kröcher, Kobosil, A.N.I., Gregor Tresher, Überkikz b2b future.666 and Peter Pahn.
The broader floor program demonstrated the festival’s genre diversity. Artists across the 2026 program represented techno, hardcore, hard dance, trance, house, Goa, electro and other electronic styles. The festival’s historical pages also show the involvement of many regional crews, promoters, clubs and collectives.
The 2026 edition continued the festival’s established 25-floor concept, giving visitors the opportunity to move between many distinct musical environments during one day.
The festival’s community focus also remained central. Ruhr-in-Love describes its floors as being created and operated by members of the electronic music scene, allowing both established names and emerging DJs to perform in front of a large audience.
The 2027 edition will continue at the same OlgaPark location, with the official website already confirming 25 floors and approximately 250 DJs as the overall format.
Official tickets
Official Ruhr-in-Love 2027 tickets are available through the festival’s official ticket page. The current Regular Ticket costs approximately $57.33, while the limited five-person group ticket costs approximately $51.48 per person. The Comfort Ticket is approximately $104.13.
The NextGen ticket is approximately $45.63 and is available exclusively to visitors who are at least 16 and younger than 20 on the festival date. The festival checks the visitor’s age at the entrance before exchanging the ticket for admission.
All published 2027 admission tickets include the applicable free return travel within the VRR public-transport network. This covers buses, trams and qualifying second-class regional rail services during the specified validity period.
Visitors should purchase tickets directly through the official Ruhr-in-Love website or the official ticket counter. The festival warns against private sellers, online auctions and unofficial ticket sources because counterfeit tickets are regularly encountered.
The festival also allows ticket holders to transfer a ticket to another person without requiring a separate repersonalization process. However, any cashless credit already connected to the ticket remains associated with that ticket and therefore passes to the new user.
