The organiser describes INNOTEQ as four days of exhibition highlights, networking opportunities and conferences, with exhibitors presenting products, solutions, services and specialist expertise.
Featured brands & designers
INNOTEQ is an industrial technology trade fair rather than a consumer design exhibition, so its featured participants are manufacturers, engineering companies, technology suppliers and industrial solution providers rather than furniture or interior designers.
Previous exhibitors included major manufacturing and technology names such as Swissmem, Swissmechanic, Dassault Systèmes Schweiz, FANUC Switzerland, EROWA, KEYENCE, Carl Zeiss, HEIDENHAIN, Hexagon Metrology, Leica Microsystems, Blaser Swisslube and numerous specialist Swiss manufacturers.
The 2027 exhibitor list will be confirmed progressively. Companies are expected to demonstrate technologies aimed at improving production accuracy, automation, efficiency, flexibility and digital integration.
Furniture & interior collections
Furniture and interior collections are not a core part of INNOTEQ because the event focuses on manufacturing technology and industrial production rather than furniture, interior design or consumer products.
Instead, the closest equivalent is the presentation of industrial equipment, production systems, machine components, tools, materials and factory-related solutions. Exhibitors can demonstrate equipment and technologies used in manufacturing environments and explain how these solutions integrate into production processes.
The event’s broad manufacturing scope means visitors can explore products covering multiple stages of the industrial value chain, from materials and components to machine tools, automation and measurement systems.
How to get there
BERNEXPO is located close to the Wankdorf motorway interchange, making the exhibition grounds accessible from Switzerland’s road network. Visitors travelling by car can follow signs for BERNEXPO after leaving the motorway.
Visitors arriving by rail can travel to Bern main station and then continue by tram or bus. Another option is to travel directly to Bern Wankdorf station using the S-Bahn network and continue to the exhibition grounds by tram or on foot.
The organiser specifically recommends public transportation because parking capacity around the exhibition grounds is limited.
Public transport & parking
From Bern main station: Take tram number 9 toward the Wankdorf Center or bus number 20 toward Wankdorf Bahnhof, then continue with tram number 9 to Wankdorf Center or walk for approximately 10 minutes.
From Bern Wankdorf station: S-Bahn lines S1, S2, S3, S4 and S44 serve Bern Wankdorf. From the station, visitors can take tram number 9 to Wankdorf Center or walk for approximately 10 minutes.
From Ittigen or Muri: Bus number 40 provides a connection to the Wankdorf Center stop.
By car: BERNEXPO is located a few hundred metres from the Wankdorf motorway interchange. Visitors should follow the BERNEXPO/expo signs.
Parking: Due to limited parking capacity and construction affecting some previously available spaces, the organiser recommends using public transportation. Designated parking spaces are available on Mingerstrasse.
Accommodation areas
Visitors travelling to Bern for INNOTEQ can choose accommodation in central Bern, around Bern main station, in the Wankdorf area or in nearby neighbourhoods.
Bern city centre: Suitable for visitors who want access to restaurants, historic attractions and the city’s main commercial areas.
Bern main station: A practical choice for visitors arriving by train and using public transport to reach BERNEXPO.
Wankdorf: The most convenient area for visitors who want to stay close to the exhibition grounds and reduce daily travel time.
Breitenrain and surrounding districts: These areas provide alternatives while remaining relatively close to the BERNEXPO site.
Because INNOTEQ attracts thousands of professional visitors, visitors travelling from outside Bern should consider booking accommodation in advance.
Accessibility
The BERNEXPO exhibition grounds and halls are wheelchair accessible. The official visitor information states that the buildings can be reached via ramps and are equipped with passenger lifts. Wheelchair-accessible toilets are also available on the exhibition grounds and can be accessed with a EuroKey.
Designated accessible parking spaces are available on Mingerstrasse. Visitors who need additional assistance can contact the exhibition office for information and support.
Guide dogs and assistance dogs are permitted, while ordinary dogs are not permitted in the exhibition halls or exhibition grounds.
