Rosendal Garden Party 2027 – Stockholm, Sweden
Overview
Rosendal Garden Party 2027 will take place from 11–13 June 2027 at Rosendal on Djurgården in Stockholm, Sweden. The three-day festival combines live music with food and drinks, art, activities and experiences in a green setting within Stockholm’s Royal National City Park.
Rather than functioning as a traditional camping festival, Rosendal Garden Party is designed around three concert days in an urban park environment. Each day has its own musical identity, normally built around a headline artist alongside selected newcomers and established favourites.
The festival was launched in 2022 and has developed into an established summer music event on Djurgården. The first edition attracted more than 15,000 visitors according to Pollstar’s 2022 reporting, while the 2024 edition set a festival attendance record of approximately 15,600 visitors on its busiest day.

What Makes This Event Special
The setting is one of Rosendal Garden Party’s defining characteristics. The festival takes place in the Djurgården area, surrounded by mature trees, gardens and the wider landscape of the Royal National City Park. The organisers describe the site as a green oasis within Stockholm.
The festival combines major live performances with food, drinks, art and activities. This creates a format that is closer to a collection of summer concert evenings than a conventional large-scale festival with camping and a huge number of stages.
Each day is given its own identity. The organisers traditionally place a major headline act at the centre of the programme and surround that performance with a mixture of established artists, newer performers and other carefully selected acts.
The location also makes Rosendal unusual among major music festivals. Visitors can attend international concerts while remaining close to central Stockholm and the city’s museums, restaurants, waterfronts and other attractions.
Lineup / Featured Artists
The Rosendal Garden Party 2027 lineup has not yet been announced. The official festival website is currently selling Blind Bird tickets, which allow visitors to choose their festival day after the lineup is announced.
The organisers have not published any confirmed 2027 artists at the time of writing, so performers from previous editions should not be presented as part of the 2027 programme.
Recent editions demonstrate the range of music normally associated with the festival. The 2026 programme included artists such as TLC, David Byrne, Kaytranada, De La Soul, Faithless, Agnes, Slowdive and José González, alongside Swedish and international acts. These were performers for the 2026 edition and are not confirmed for 2027.
The festival’s programming has covered pop, rock, electronic music, hip-hop, R&B, soul and alternative music, with the exact musical direction varying from day to day.
Event Experience
A typical Rosendal Garden Party visit is focused on concerts, food and spending time outdoors rather than camping or staying inside the festival grounds overnight.
The festival opens during the afternoon and continues into the evening. Recent editions have combined live performances with food and drink areas, allowing visitors to arrive early and spend several hours at the site before the headline performance.
The garden setting gives the event a different atmosphere from Stockholm’s large indoor arenas. Visitors can walk around the grounds, meet friends, eat and drink, and move between performances while remaining surrounded by the landscape of Djurgården.
The food and beverage programme has also become an increasingly important part of the festival. Organisers described the 2026 food and drinks programme as almost a festival within the festival, with a broad selection of dining and beverage experiences.
Date & Schedule
Rosendal Garden Party 2027 is scheduled for:

Location & Venue
Rosendal Garden Party takes place at Rosendal on Djurgården, Stockholm, Sweden, in the Royal National City Park.
The festival site is surrounded by the historic landscape of Djurgården, an area that has been associated with royal land since the late Middle Ages. The Royal National City Park extends across Stockholm, Solna and Lidingö and contains extensive natural and cultural landscapes.
The nearby Rosendals Trädgård is a well-known garden and visitor destination on Djurgården, while the wider area contains museums, historic buildings, restaurants and waterfront attractions.
The festival’s concert grounds are distinct from the garden centre itself, so visitors should follow the festival’s official entrance directions rather than simply navigating to Rosendals Trädgård.
Event History
Rosendal Garden Party made its debut in 2022, initially as a four-day concert event. The opening edition featured artists including The National, Sharon Van Etten and Cat Power and attracted approximately 15,000 visitors according to Pollstar’s year-end festival data.
The second edition followed in 2023. Organisers described the first year as the foundation for a new festival concept centred on strong artists, food, art and an easy-going atmosphere in a green Stockholm setting.
The 2024 edition continued the three-day format and recorded approximately 15,600 visitors on its busiest day. The festival also received the Greener Transport Award at the International A Greener Festival Awards for its sustainability work, particularly its focus on transportation emissions.
In 2025, the festival presented artists including Kraftwerk, Róisín Murphy, Lars Winnerbäck, Chaka Khan and Sean Paul. The event was subsequently taken over by new Swedish ownership after international promoter FKP Scorpio exited the festival.
The 2026 edition featured another international programme, including TLC, Faithless, Kaytranada, De La Soul, David Byrne and Slowdive. The festival is now continuing with its 2027 edition.
Getting to the Event
Rosendal is unusually accessible for a festival because it is located within Stockholm rather than outside the city. The official festival travel information says the site is approximately 20 minutes’ walk from central Stockholm. Visitors can also use public transport.
Tram 7 runs towards Djurgården, with stops at Bellmansro or Waldemarsudde, followed by approximately five minutes of walking to the festival area. Bus 67 can be used to Waldemarsudde, while bus 69 serves Museiparken, also followed by a short walk.
Boat travel is another convenient option. SL services on routes 82 and 80 stop at Allmänna Gränd near Gröna Lund. Djurgården can also be reached by M/S Emelie from Hammarby Sjöstad and Masthamnen. The festival encourages visitors to leave their cars at home and use public transport, walking or cycling where possible.
Where to Stay Nearby
Because Rosendal Garden Party is located inside Stockholm, visitors have a wide choice of accommodation rather than needing festival camping. For visitors who want to remain close to the festival area, several hotels and guesthouses are available around Djurgården and central Stockholm.
Hotel Esplanade on Strandvägen is positioned near the waterfront between central Stockholm and Djurgården. Another option is Hôtel Reisen – The Unbound Collection by Hyatt on Skeppsbron in Stockholm’s Old Town, which provides a convenient base for combining the festival with sightseeing.
Visitors who prefer Södermalm can consider Hilton Stockholm Slussen, while Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel, Stockholm is another centrally located option close to Stockholm Central Station. Since the festival takes place in June, booking accommodation in advance is advisable.
Things to Do Before or After the Event
Djurgården is one of Stockholm’s most important cultural and recreational areas, so there are plenty of activities to combine with a Rosendal Garden Party visit. The Vasa Museum is one of the area’s major attractions. It houses the preserved 17th-century warship Vasa and is within walking distance of the festival area.
Visitors interested in Scandinavian cultural history can also explore Skansen, the open-air museum and zoo, while the ABBA Museum, Nordic Museum and amusement park Gröna Lund are all located nearby. For a quieter experience, visitors can explore the paths and green spaces of the Royal National City Park or spend time at Rosendals Trädgård.
Central Stockholm is also close enough to combine the festival with Gamla Stan, the Royal Palace, Skeppsholmen and the city’s waterfront districts.
Restaurants & Dining Nearby
Food is an important component of Rosendal Garden Party itself, with the festival offering a dedicated food and drinks programme alongside the concerts. For a meal before or after the festival, visitors have several options on Djurgården.
Rosendals Trädgård is particularly close to the festival environment and combines a garden setting with café and food offerings. Villa Godthem on Rosendalsvägen is another established restaurant on Djurgården, while Wärdshuset Ulla Winbladh AB offers traditional Swedish dining nearby.
For something closer to the museums and waterfront, Spritmuseum Restaurant and The Vasa Museum Restaurant are additional options. Visitors should check restaurant opening hours and reservation requirements for the specific festival weekend.

Tips Before You Go
Accommodation in central Stockholm can become more expensive during major summer events, so booking early is useful if you already know you will attend. Public transportation is one of the easiest ways to reach the festival. The official festival information specifically encourages visitors to avoid driving and use public transportation, walking or cycling instead.
Comfortable shoes are recommended because the event takes place outdoors and involves walking between entrances, stages, food areas and other festival facilities.
The festival is held in a park environment, so checking the weather forecast shortly before travelling is worthwhile. June in Stockholm can be warm and sunny but can also bring rain and cooler evenings. If you purchase a Blind Bird day ticket before the lineup is announced, remember that you will choose the specific festival day later once the programme is available.
Visitors combining the festival with sightseeing should allow extra time for Djurgården’s museums and attractions, particularly at weekends when the island can become busy.
