Venue & exhibition site
Venue: RAI Amsterdam
Address: Europaplein 24, 1078 GZ Amsterdam, The Netherlands
GreenTech Amsterdam occupies exhibition space within the RAI Amsterdam complex, one of the Netherlands’ major international exhibition and convention venues. The site provides dedicated exhibition halls, stages, meeting areas, catering facilities and visitor services.
The exhibition is designed to let professionals see horticultural technology directly on the show floor, compare solutions from different suppliers and discuss applications with manufacturers and technology providers.
Exhibition halls & floor plan
GreenTech Amsterdam uses multiple halls within RAI Amsterdam, with the exhibition layout designed around different horticultural technologies and themes.
The digital floor plan allows visitors to locate exhibitors, exhibition areas and relevant sections of the show. GreenTech also provides an interactive floor plan for visitors and exhibitors, while the venue’s general RAI map provides information about entrances, halls, parking facilities and transport connections.
Recent GreenTech editions have included dedicated thematic areas such as the Green World and Tech World. These areas have helped visitors navigate topics including crops, vertical farming, medicinal plants, renewable energy, data, automation, AI and robotics.
Sustainability & environmental initiatives
Sustainability is a central part of GreenTech’s event strategy. The organiser works on reducing the environmental footprint of the exhibition through responsible logistics, sustainable accommodation, plant-based catering, waste reduction and more environmentally responsible exhibition materials.
GreenTech-funded catering is 100% plant-based, while local and organic ingredients are sourced from Amsterdam-area suppliers where possible. Surplus food is also redirected through social initiatives to reduce food waste.
The event has also reduced the amount of exhibition carpet used in the aisles. In 2025, GreenTech reported more than 7,000 square metres less carpet use, while sustainable stand construction, modular furniture, LED lighting and circular event materials form part of its wider sustainability approach.
Digital floor plans reduce the need for printed maps, while waste-separation systems and reusable or biodegradable materials help reduce disposable waste. GreenTech also promotes sustainable travel and ride-sharing options.
